Inspired Ornamental has work at St Paul Church during an eight-month span over the last several years. Much of this historic Church has been replicated and replaced because of the Churches condition. The artisans at IO have replicated everything from the decorative arches, plaster column capitals, decorative plaster ceilings, coffered rosettes to even replacing the Asension behind the Altar at over 80 feet high.
Inspired Ornamental was tasked to replicate the engaged capital at the front of St Patrick Church. The team created a large silicone brush-on mold and plaster support shell. They then cast a new match existing capital and installed it in the front of the Church. A Statue of Mary was restored and placed onto of the new capital.
Inspired Ornamental was called in to help with failing Finials at the Church. Finials had come loose and had fallen to the floor of the Church. The IO team restored an existing broken finial and then created a mold in order to cast a new match existing finial in plaster. Once cast the team installed the match existing finials.
Inspired Ornamental was brought in to help design and fabricate the new arches and match existing columns behind the altar. The existing capitals were molded so that new match existing capitals could be cast and incorporated into the new design. The main arch and columns were fabricated at IO Studios as well as the side arches for Mary and Joseph.
Inspired Ornamental was asked by Fr. Jason Jalbert to restore a Station of the Cross. The Station had been knocked off the wall and had shattered into many small pieces. The artists at Inspired Ornamental went to work at rebuilding and restoring the pieces to make the Station whole once again. Once the restoration was completed the artists were able to match the colors of the original and paint the restored Station.
Inspired Ornamental was tasked at removing damaged plaster moldings and capitals from the Sanctuary due to severe water damage. The team was able to create all new match existing pieces and install them as they were originally. Once that was completed the team was asked to restore a six-foot-tall zinc statue of Mary. The statue was brought to IO Studios where it was stripped of paint, cleaned and restored. Once restored the statue was painted, sealed and then installed back on site where she will reside.
Inspired Ornamental had the honor of restoring one of the most precious spaces in the North Shore. The Cabot Theater is a staple of the community and had some safety issues due to the Theaters age. Several areas of the dome and areas over the stage had failed over time and had lost their structural integrity. Failed areas were removed, replicated and installed. Once in place the new areas were blended in with the old to create a seamless transition.
